After the superhit album “Jab We Met”, I was eagerly awaiting the music of ”Love Aaj Kal”. And Does it live upto my expections ? Hmmm, Ya Completely. According to me, Imitiaz and Gang have pulled up another chartbuster in “Love Aaj Kal”. The album has 10 soundtracks of which I am sure atleast 2 of the tracks are sure Chartbusters.
The Album kicks off with “Twist” sung by Neeraj Sridhar. The song starts off with the snake charmer tune taken off from the song “Tann Dole” from the old film Naagin and then gets a modern feel as the song proceeds. In total, a very peppy number.
Next comes “Chor Baazari” sung by Neeraj Shridhar and Sunidhi Chauhan which has to be simply the best song in the whole album, according to me. It has everything in right place, the song, the music, the lyrics and the vocals. Looking forward to see how this song is going to be picturized on Saif and Deepika.
“Aahun Aahun” is also an interesting song at the start but somehow it starts losing steam towards the end of the song and fails to capitalize on its brilliant start.
“Main Kya Hoon“, “Thoda Thoda Pyaar“, “Ajj Din Chadheya“, “Dooriyan” are the remaining songs which are pretty good as well but not great.
Overall, a pretty good album to listen but only in parts.
